Static Progress was started as a sporadic
musing of underground electronic music culture by brothers Greg and
Ryan Wilkinson. We wanted to create
a portal into all genres of electronic dance music to help unify a
culture that is rapidly splintering. We also wanted to include all
forms of media, from mp3 Dj mixes to videos to information about remix competitions and
music production. Basically anything we find interesting will find
its way into Static Progress. We started with a simple blog and it
grew into the baby you see today - fully equipped with a live radio
broadcast.

Static:
stat·ic [stat-ik] - (noun) noise on a radio or television caused by
electricity in the air.
(adjective) staying in one place without moving, or not
changing for a long time.
Progress:
prog·ress [proh-gres] - (noun) advancement to an improved or more
developed state, or to a forward position.

Greg
(co-founder) |
|
 |
Greg was born
through the love of Underground House Music, and raised on a
diet of wild parties. He gained over 12 years experience in
South Africa, UK and the USA; organizing and spinning at the
hottest underground raves. An ex-Trance Dj, Greg soon
realized the error of his ways and began to play Progressive
House. Then he kinda merged the two and now just plays
Chunky, Dirty Electro House that smacks you round the chops!
Greg has always had an eye for graphic design, so it was a
natural step to merge his love for music and design into the
baby that is now StaticProgress. |

Ryan (co-founder) |
|
 |
Ryan is a classically trained musician but has always had a
love of all electronic music, in particular trance. Slowly
introduced to electronic music through the sounds of the
Chemical Brothers, Prodigy and Orbital, it was Paul van
Dyk's sound that truly captured him. In Ryan’s relatively
short career, he has already played alongside such top names
as Paul van Dyk, Markus Schulz, Scott Bond, Marc Van Linden,
Giuseppe Ottaviani, Eddie Halliwell, Super8 & DJ Tab, Andy
Moor, Mike Koglin, Andy Farley, Lisa Pin-Up and Nick
Sentience.
Having distanced himself from the ‘fluffy’ trance sound of
the late 90’s, Ryan has expanded his sets to include more
progressive, house, electro and techno sounds.

complete without it. Lovely Abigail is happy to grind out
