His success story begins in the late 80s when Techno made its first appearance. From this point onwards, Axel's courtship with electronic music saw a very different light... By 1996, midst of an era that saw electronic music taking over the Greek dance scene, he was already known through various DJ residencies. In addition, together with the team "bubbles" he organised regular events -to be remembered to this date!- with a huge crowd of supporters.

Jaytech, aka James Cayzer, has carved himself an enviable reputation as a supremely credible producer, DJ, and live talent. Uplifting, but never obvious, his music is well-thought out melodic house that’s equally at home in a Sasha or Desyn Masiello set as in a headline slot from Above and Beyond (Jaytech is also their opening DJ of choice).

Sean Cilliers aka Seano is originally from sunny South Africa. As a fledgling DJ in 2003, Seano was involved in the Hard Dance scene in Cape Town playing at a local club called the Gallery. After the scene began to die down and career prospects dwindled, he decided to, as many young Saffas do, move to London. Within a few short months, Seano found himself playing at underground parties in and around the East London area and a residency with a production company called Frequency. Hailing from Cape Town, SA, Josh Hanger had a late start into the world of DJ’ing. After first being content with just listening to the brightest and best DJ’s/producers around, he decided to step up to the plate and invest in his own decks…just listening to music was no longer enough.

Armed with nothing more than two old Gemini turntables and a bag of vinyl he began his musical journey, and from the first time the needle touched the record he knew that DJing was his life. After countless hours locked away, digging for new and fresh music, music that stood out to him from the stale and all too familiar anthems, Mark started to "put himself out there".

Mallorca Lee is more than just the voice behind Public Domain's chart assault, Ultra-Sonic early rave conquests or The Warp Bros floor fillers. Having sold over FOUR MILLION records worldwide he is undeniably, Scotland's most enduring and groundbreaking underground DJ/Producer. Mallorca has released over seven artist albums and countless singles that have blazed an unmitigated trail thru acid house, rave, hip-hop, rock and pop for almost two decades. The maverick MC / DJ / Producer that some have called a mad man and even NME proclaimed "more rock and roll than Oasis!", hazards a kamikaze, DIY, Punk Rock approach to electronic music production that blows up the boundaries and pick locks the pigeon holes of modern day dance music.

Since then he has released several records on many different labels all over the world.

Inpetto started life as a word that was sparked in the minds of brothers Marco and Dirk. In 1998 the two German producers had found themselves in need of pseudonym with which to remix and record their more progressively orientated house material. Having hit on the name, they laid down the single 'Brahmaputra' and subsequently had it picked up by Ramon 'Hardfloor' Zenker and Jens 'Energy Flow' Lissat's No Respect label. With their other project experiencing a massive and rapid rise to international success, the brothers drafted Inpetto in to give the chart monster ‘Toca Me’ its now legendary remix treatment… And then, in 2000, while their other projects soared, Inpetto fell silent…

From a small independent artist, Alex M.O.R.P.H. made it to one of the leading producers and remixers in the global trance scene. With successful remixes for Armin van Buuren, Woody van Eyden, ATB, Super 8 and DJ Tab, Mat Silver and Tony Burt and others, he became one of the most wanted remixers available. In 2005, Woody ended is co-operation with ATB. He wanted to focus entirely on his Back 2 Back career with Alex M.O.R.P.H. DJing, remixing and producing together. He continued his artist booking, management and multi media activities. And the tag-team-combination Woody and Alex grew to a hell of an act! Resulting in bookings, releases, but above all, pounding dancefloors all over the world.

The story of Kimito Lopez begins in Oslo, Norway. His early interests were nothing along the lines of smokefilled innercity dancefloors, but rather on the football pitch or on the ice, firing pucks. His defining passion however, surfaced when Kimito found his love for electronic music, brought to life by the now classic, late 90s trance compilations such as Magik and Forbidden Paradise. Ice skates and football jerseys were put in the closet, and melodic trance was blasting from his bedroom speakers.

Galen Behr, also known as Passiva and Ava Mea, has clearly already earned his place in the trance scene. From the age of 10, Galen has been busy developing him talent in what he entitles, “Energetic Light Music”. After playing the violin for roughly one year, he made contact with “trance music”, and was instantly committed. Trance caught his attention from the first beat, and it hasn't weakened a bit since.Galen: “Not a single day went by without trance. Trance is a lifestyle. I breathe trance. Even when I’m not feeling quite well, it’s the music which gets me back on track. It has a inevitable positive vibe with a large risk to addiction, in the positive sense of the word of course!”

Static Podcast 35 with Timo Maas

Timo Maas' first fascination with music was sparked by listening to the radio when he was young. At the age of 9 he bought his first record and went on to buy his first set of turntables at 17. His very first set was in 1982, when he played at a party in his friend's home. The beginning of his career consisted mostly of gigs around Germany playing "Top 40"-records, but occasionally sneaking in a techno record. It was to be another 6 years from his first set that he performed his first official all-techno set. In 1992 Maas was introduced to the early German rave scene after being booked for a rave at Easter. His fascination with the rave culture led him to play at many different rave-events of many sizes and scales both at home and abroad. It was in this way that Maas earned a name in the electronic underground scene.

Static Podcast 31 with Marcel Woods

Even though his star is rising exponentially, Dutch 'bon vivant' Marcel Woods knows what it's like to stay down to earth. With an unrivalled and enviable list of banging floor fillers to his credit, Woods refuses repetition and is on a constant quest for new innovations. It's this attitude that puts him in the same league of the greatest trance orientated DJs of the Netherlands. However, hating the confinement of being tagged, Woods always thinks outside the box and only when something is 'Raw and Energetic' it deserves the Marcel Woods trademark.<br>

Resident at Republica in Oxfordshire since 2005, Miguel has earned himself a big reputation as one of the most versatile DJ's around, switching from all important warm up sets to peak time “take-the-roof-off” sets with ease. You can expect to find him playing what he describes as “houseyelectroytechytrancey” sets between 130 and 140bpm depending on “who, what, where and when”....
